Copyright, License Agreement & Obligations

This is a legal agreement between Respect-IT SA (company based in Belgium) and you, named hereafter “the user”. It applies only to the use of the Objectiver virtual academy (named hereafter “the site”). If you do not agree on these terms and conditions then you are not granted access to the contents of this site for any use (read information, browse, add or modify information, …).

1. License and Ownership

This site is NOT public domain. All information and/or documents are owned and copyrighted by Respect-IT SA. Respect-IT SA grants the user a non-exclusive license to use the site for a period of time specified in the license conditions the user has received when (he|she) has subscribed to a course.

The license is granted to one person (one individual), the user, and is not transferable to third parties.

2. Distribution

The user may print pages of this site only for (his|her) own use and exclusively in the context of the user’s learning subscription.  

The user may NOT reuse any content of this site, owned and copyrighted by Respect-IT, for any purpose, without prior, written and explicit authorization of Respect-IT.

The user may NOT distribute copies of any content of this site, owned and copyrighted by Respect-IT to third parties.

3. Other obligations for any user of this site

Any user of this site must conform to the following rules:

3.1  The user may not use the site for any other purpose than attending the course the user has subscribed.  All information the user put in this site (news, blogs, mails, pictures, movies, …) shall be directly related to the course.

3.2  The user shall behave as a responsible tenant in any circumstance while using this site. The user commits (him|her)self to never put any material that can offend any other user, infringe good moral standards or provoke disputes between users on subjects not related to the course the user has subscribed.

3.3  The user shall inform, without delay, the site administrator or (his|her tutor) about any abnormal content noticed in the site, specially contents aimed at Section 3.2

3.4 The user shall comply with any injunction of Respect-IT to keep these obligations in force.

3.5  Any failure to comply with these obligations may lead to the irrevocable exclusion from this site, of the user being at fault. No refund will be granted to the excluded user. Serious failures to comply with these obligations are liable to prosecution and damages.  The user certifies that the subscription information (he|she) has provided about (his|her) identity, legal address, and e-mail address is correct. The user agrees on the fact that this information can be used to locate (him|her) in case of prosecution.  

4. Privacy

Respect-IT shall never communicate to third parties

4.1  any information about the user except in application of section 3.5

4.2 any information about the way the user has accomplished (his|her) training without prior authorization of the user.

Respect-IT shall not be responsible for any disclosure of information about the user or (his|her) training, that the user (himself|herself) has made available to other users of the site.

5. Warranty Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

This site is licensed to the user on an "AS IS" basis. Respect-IT SA MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO THIS SITE AND ITS ASSOCIATED FILES AND DOCUMENTS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Respect-IT SA DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE OPERATION OF THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DEFECTS IN THE SITE WILL BE CORRECTED. You the user are solely responsible for determining the appropriateness of the site for your use and accept full responsibility for all risks associated with its use. Respect-IT SA is not and will not be liable for any direct, indirect, special or incidental damages (including loss of profits or interruption of business) however caused even if Respect-IT SA has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

4. Third party licenses used in this site

This site is developed on the Moodle platform.
